Danhai Smart Electric Bus Circle Line Multi-Vehicle Service Test Operation Phase II Project

[New Taipei City News] Following the first phase of the passenger test of a smart driving electric bus, which received 92% public satisfaction, the New Taipei City Transportation Bureau is now carrying out the second phase of the project, using two domestically produced small smart driving buses. The electric bus uses lithium iron batteries that can reduce safety risks such as overheating or explosion. It will run on a circular route and is expected to be put on the road for testing in the first quarter of next year (112).

Transportation Secretary Chung Ming-shi recently went to the depot to learn about the progress of the second phase of smart electric buses. He said that safety is the primary consideration in the smart electric bus testing, and he hopes to use artificial intelligence, big data, cloud computing and mobile communications to develop technologies that allow people to It provides intelligent transportation services and conducts vehicle speed-up tests under the premise of safety to improve operating efficiency; continuing the results of the first phase of single-vehicle testing, the second phase mainly tests the following and route merging technologies of two smart driving vehicles. We look forward to utilizing this project. The test results serve as the development foundation for the introduction of smart electric buses into public transportation in the future, and continue to build a new generation of transportation services that are human-oriented, safe and meet the goal of net-zero carbon emissions.

Wu Zhengyan, chief of the Comprehensive Planning Section of the Transportation Bureau, said that the second phase of smart electric buses will be implemented by Qinwei International Technology Co., Ltd. and jointly developed with Liuhe Machinery Co., Ltd. and Hewei Vehicle Technology Co., Ltd. to create a model that meets the key requirements of the Ministry of Economic Affairs. The smart driving electric buses stipulated in the localization of components will be integrated with the Danhai light rail operation mode and the equipment of the " An Intelligent Transportation Open Field Test Project in Danhai New Town " handled by the Ministry of Transport. It will combine 5G technology and smart roadside equipment to adopt multiple vehicles. Smart driving communication and multi-stop mode, bypassing the light rail Kanding Station, Beautiful New Plaza, Ocean City Center and the light rail Danhai New Town Station for connecting passenger services.
