Due to the global trend of innovative technologies and applications such as 5G, self-driving cars, connected Vehicle and smart cities, the Ministry of Transportation established the "Transportation Technology Industry Report" in 2019 and formed 12 major industry groups.
5G Intelligent Transportation Application Promotion Group
The "5G Intelligent Transportation Application Promotion Group", one of the 12 major industry groups, uses Danhai New Town as the primary open field test for connected vehicles.
Constructing a field test for connected vehicles
Construct a connected car testing environment to integrate domestic and foreign differences.

Project goals
Concerning the development of OmniAir Connected Vehicle (CV) testing specifications.
Taiwan has established our own CV Verification Standards to enhance the capabilities of the domestic CV industry in the testing field.

C-V2X Applications
The applications of the Internet of Vehicles (IoV) include five main functions, namely the transmission and reception of the following messages: Basic Safety Message (BSM), Signal Request Message (SRM) / Signal Status Message (SSM), Traveler Information Message (TIM), Road Side Alert (RSA), and Personal Safety Message (PSM) for vulnerable road users.
